French for Fat Tuesday (the last opportunity to eat rich food before Lent) has become a synonym for excess.  I’m pretty much against excess except in jewelry and shoes and maybe a little piece of art-work.  My personal philosophy is,  “ more is better and more on top of that is wonderful!”
